Hello,

As the founder of Stand Up Fathers, I am deeply passionate about the importance of fatherhood and the vital role that men play in society. Our organization is dedicated to supporting and empowering co-parenting dads, helping them to become positive role models for their children and reinforcing the belief that masculinity should be celebrated.

At Stand Up Fathers, we are committed to showing that men can have a positive impact in all aspects of life. To that end, we offer a variety of services and resources designed to help co-parenting dads navigate the unique challenges they face. Our goal is to assist them in developing strong, healthy relationships with their co-parenting counterparts, ensuring that both parents can work together effectively for the well-being of their children.

We believe that by supporting dads through their journey, we can contribute to a society where fatherhood is valued and men are empowered to make a meaningful difference in their families and communities.

My Story

Having once been a ‘struggling co-parent’ myself at the age of 23, I know first hand of the struggles, the long days and the battling inner thoughts which can lead to other consequences such as poor mental health. For years I felt isolated from those around me and my community. There had been a number occasions that  I searched for support, however, I came to realise at the time there was a lack of support groups and support networks out there for young coparenting dads.

This is why I wanted to provide a space for coparenting dads who are trying to work on themselves and their families and break away from the traditional stigma between masculinity and parenthood; Stand Up Fathers is an initiative which is built on strong foundations like family, legacy and love which are both core concepts in both manhood and parenthood.

Our Community Interest Company wants to help connect coparenting dads with other dads to provide support and education around what it means to effectively co-parent. We understand that there are a lot of pressures and societal expectations of what it means to be a man and a dad but there is very little help out there, especially for younger dads. So we are here to plug that gap, providing 1-1’s, workshops, activity days, days with dads and their kids, and expert advice to those beneficiaries. We strive to ensure no coparenting dad feels alone, every coparenting dad has a strong support system and promote behaviours that contribute to healthier mental health and well-being.
